CD RELEASE CONCERT
Grammy Award winning music author/jazz critic Francis Davis of the Village Voice wrote the liner notes on our new album "A Night Like This."
A few choice words from Mr. Davis:
Think they don’t write ‘em like they used to? No one told Norian, whose three originals fit comfortably amid the album’s Berlin and Porter (and is there any higher praise?).
Anthony has good reason to be proud of “They Can’t Take That Away,” where his simpatico with Norian is worthy of comparison to Tony Bennett’s duets with Bill Evans.
From beginning to end, A Night Like This convinces us the fundamental things (still) apply, though maybe only given a singer who understands what those things are.
